In the general chemical industries, we offer metal soap dispersions, defoamers, a wide range of fatty acid esters, ester emulsions and wax dispersions.
The eChem range of metal soap dispersions comprises those of Ca, Mg and Zn with palmitic, stearic or behenic acids. These products find application in a wide variety of industries as a consequence of their ability to lubricate, stabilise, bind or impart hydrophobic properties when they absorb onto a substrate.
The fatty esters we manufacture range from low viscosity mono-esters such as butyl laurate through to polyol esters of C8/C10 and C16/C18 fatty acids. The polarity of such esters imparts good lubricity and solvency for many applications. In addition to the full esters, emulsifying partial esters such as PEG 400 mono-oleate are on offer.
Defoamers for the general chemical industry, relase agents for construction and ceramic industries and water-proofers for cement and gypsum-based systems are also in the programme. A range of polythene and paraffin wax dispersions has been introduced for various industry applications such as matting, slip and water-proofing.
The concerns about VOCs and biodegradability of hydrocarbons were the major fators in our development drive with ester emulsion systems for both the concrete construction and print cleaner markets. We have a new effective range of concentrates for dilution to water based mould release agents for concretes, and emulsion cleaners for difficult removal jobs where skin contact cannot be eliminated.
